Paradise Experience Retreat
Three quiet days for senior citizens
Four times a year the centre sets aside three days for those in their later years — gentler in pace, and preached for a turn of life when the questions are different.
You will go home able to…
- A pace made for older bodies, with rest built into the day.
- The company of others at the same turn of life.
- Time for the sacraments, and for anointing and prayer.
- Someone to talk to, without hurry.
The Paradise Experience retreat runs over three days and is preached for senior citizens. The timetable is lighter than the family retreat, with longer breaks and time to rest between sessions.
Families are welcome to bring an elderly parent and settle them in. If someone needs help through the day, tell the office when you book so that a room and any assistance can be arranged.

Before You Come
Things families ask us
The retreat is preached for a household — parents and children together. Come as a family rather than sending one member. If you are unsure whether your situation fits, ring the office and ask; nobody is turned away for asking.
Yes. The retreat is built around parents and children taking part side by side, and that is what makes it different from a retreat one person attends alone. Tell us the ages of the children when you book.
Please plan to. The retreat is designed to be lived through from beginning to end, and much of what it does depends on staying. If that is genuinely impossible for your family, speak to the office before you book.
Either ring the booking line between 9 in the morning and 5 in the evening, or send a request through this website. Nothing is paid online — a request reaches the office and the office rings you back to confirm the place.
Please ask the office when you ring. They will tell you what is expected for the retreat you have chosen and what it covers.
